Écrin is an independent editorial map of the ideas of fine jewelry. We write about 26 houses because their ideas are worth knowing by name: who had them, when, and who answered.
Each house page links prominently to the house's own site, and every collection links to its official page. We sell nothing, take no commission and carry no advertising.
How your house appears
For each house we keep a short character, the city and year of foundation, and a handful of emblematic collections. For each collection: the year it was introduced, the designer where documented, the idea in a sentence, its origin, the materials, the published entry price in euros with the date we read it, and the range from entry piece to high jewelry.
Images are the house's own, credited to the house on every page and linked back. If you would rather we used a different image, or none, we will change it the same day.
Corrections and additions
If a date, a designer or a story is wrong, or a collection that matters is missing, write to us with a source and we will correct it. Houses can supply an official campaign image and confirm their entry; confirmed entries carry a quiet "verified by the maison" mark.
