Messika

Valérie Messika grew up watching her father, the diamond dealer André Messika, slide stones between his fingers, and in 2005 built a house on the idea that a diamond looks best in motion. Her hand is thin pavé and loose stones: diamonds that run along a gold rail, ride a sprung thread, or sit alone on a bare line of white gold.

Inside the house

  • Skinny rivière bracelet in white gold: a thin flexible line of diamonds forming a bangle, with a fine safety chain, on a pale grey ground.

    Skinny after Move

Two years after Move, Messika put the movement into the line itself: tiny springs let a rivière stretch over the hand and close back.
