Happy Diamonds at Chopard

The story

In 1976 Chopard designer Ronald Kurowski, struck by sunlight in the spray of a Black Forest waterfall, freed diamonds from their settings and floated them over the dial; the watch won the Golden Rose of Baden-Baden that year. Karin Scheufele's remark that diamonds are happier when they are free became its motto. The jewellery began in the early 1980s with a clown pendant drawn by the young Caroline Scheufele, its belly full of moving diamonds, and grew into the round Happy Diamonds Icons pendants, rings and studs.
