The story

Elsa Peretti created the line soon after joining Tiffany in 1974, pairing fine, fluid chains with flatly framed stones so diamonds could be worn lightly and every day. The name, often attributed to her friend Halston, plays on chain sold by length. Single-stone pendants, bracelets and sprinkle necklaces up to 72 inches long still follow the original pattern.
