Winston Cluster at Harry Winston

The story

In the early 1940s Harry Winston's studio, led by Nevdon Koumrouyan, worked out a setting that let the diamonds lead and the metal recede. The story attached to it is a holly wreath on Winston's front door, its leaves glittering with frost on a winter night. The Wreath necklace became its best-known form, and the clusters now run from earrings to high-jewelry necklaces of nearly two hundred stones.

    Raindance, Boodles (2000)

Raindance shares the Cluster's rule that the stones, not the metal, draw the piece, and scatters them like rain across open bands.
