Blossom

Small cherry blossoms in white, rose or yellow gold, their petals beaded with diamonds like dew on a spring morning.

Hortensia

Chaumet

Hortensia

Hydrangea florets gathered into pompoms, garlands and posies, the flower repeated in gold petals, pink opal and pavé.

Empress Joséphine's garden at Malmaison lies behind Hortensia, which Claire Dévé-Rakoff, Chaumet's creative director, made into a high-jewelry collection in autumn 2013: hydrangea florets massed into pompoms and garlands in pink opal, sapphires, rubies and angel-skin coral. Blossom works with single flowers instead of a mass of them. Boodles' cherry heads, introduced in 2016, are small enough to sit three to a ring, their petals in white, rose or yellow gold, flecked with diamonds.
