Plume de Paon

A peacock feather drawn barb by barb in pavé, its eye marked by a single larger diamond, curling round the finger or falling from a chain.

Piaget Sunlight

The sun as a disc of gold rays, each segment engraved, brushed or polished, around a halo of diamonds.

Rays and barbs: Piaget Sunlight and Plume de Paon are both built from lines radiating from a point. Piaget's sun, which descended from the 2017 Sunlight Journey high-jewelry collection, alternates engraved, brushed and polished gold segments around a diamond halo, with turquoise or malachite at the centre. Boucheron's feather sends its pavé barbs out from one larger diamond eye, a nineteenth-century drawing, dated by the house to 1860, still made in three golds today.
