Plume de Paon

A peacock feather drawn barb by barb in pavé, its eye marked by a single larger diamond, curling round the finger or falling from a chain.

Grain de Café

The coffee bean, full and grooved down its middle, cast in gold and gathered into clusters.

Grace Kelly wore Grain de Café, the coffee bean Jeanne Toussaint gave Cartier in 1938, full and grooved, cast in gold and gathered in clusters; a 1955 necklace was reissued in 2023 ahead of a line of two-tone beans edged with diamonds. Boucheron's Plume de Paon, older still at 1860, works in pavé rather than volume, every barb of its peacock feather set with stones and the eye given over to one larger diamond.
