Happy Diamonds

Diamonds set free between two sapphire crystals, so they slide and tumble with every movement of the wearer.

Possession ring in rose gold: a turning band chased with fine vertical lines and set with one diamond, on a transparent ground.

Possession

A gold ring that carries a second band, free to spin around the finger.

Swiss motion, fourteen years apart. In 1976 Ronald Kurowski freed diamonds from their settings for Chopard's Happy Diamonds and let them glide between two sapphire crystals, and Karin Scheufele's line about diamonds being happier free became its motto. Possession, in 1990, moved the metal instead. A second gold band turns around the ring, a fidget Piaget credits to Yves G. Piaget and has since dressed in malachite, turquoise and its chased Decor Palace finish. Stones travel in the first, metal in the second.
