Jean Schlumberger by Tiffany Sixteen Stone

Pairs of round diamonds held in place by small gold Xs, like cross-stitches, so the band reads as stones threaded together with metal.

Pairs organise both rings. Sixteen Stone, which Jean Schlumberger designed as a wedding band in 1959, sets its diamonds two by two and fastens each pair with a gold X. Pomellato Together, introduced in 2023, binds two gold ellipses with one link and lets the wearer turn the link outward or hide it behind the finger. Schlumberger's pairs are stitched into an unbroken circle. Vincenzo Castaldo's are two separate shapes joined at a single point, written for love in all its forms.
