Tiffany & Co.

The New York house that lifted the engagement diamond onto six prongs and engraved its own return address on a silver tag. Much of its vocabulary came from designers it invited in: Peretti's bone, Schlumberger's cross-stitch, a padlock and a link pulled from its own archive.

Founded by Charles Lewis Tiffany and John B. Young. Ideas from €750. Tiffany & Co. site

    Tiffany Lock after LOVE, Cartier

Tiffany Lock makes the same promise of a bracelet that locks on, drawn as a padlock shackle whose clasp swivels and clicks shut.

  • Menottes dinh van bracelet: two interlocking yellow-gold half-rings on a knotted black cord, on a white ground.

Tiffany Lock after Menottes dinh van, dinh van

Where Menottes hooked two half-rings like handcuffs, Tiffany Lock stretches a padlock shackle round the wrist.

  • Bvlgari Bvlgari

Tiffany T after Bvlgari Bvlgari, Bulgari

Tiffany T takes up the house mark worn as the jewel, reduced from a whole name to one capital.

  • Parentesi

    Tiffany HardWear after Parentesi, Bulgari

HardWear takes up the single link repeated into a necklace and gives it the weight of industrial gauge chain.
