Butterfly at Graff

The story

Graff calls the butterfly a signature motif that has run through the house's history and grown into a whole family of jewels, but does not date the first one. The family now spans Classic Butterfly, whose wings are pear-shape and marquise diamonds, the open Butterfly Silhouette traced in pavé with a second small butterfly at its heart, and Pavé Butterfly. Coloured versions add sapphires, rubies and tourmalines.

Lineage

  • Wladimir the Cat ring in white gold: a cat's head paved with white diamonds, green stone eyes and a green gem necklace, on a white ground.

Graff draws its creature in diamonds alone, pear and marquise stones laid out as wings.
