The story
Boucheron traces its bestiary to its own workshops in 1866. Its mascot, Wladimir the cat, appeared on brooches at the end of the nineteenth century and wore a high-jewellery necklace in an advertising campaign that ran from 1978 to 1987. In 2018 Claire Choisne gave him pieces of his own, with layered-stone eyes, a sculpted gold coat and a gem necklace that recalls the campaign.

Panthère de Cartier, Cartier (1914)
Where Boucheron gave each animal a name, Cartier chose one and made it the house's own, first as a pattern of spots.
