A fan, taken from the ginkgo-leaf pattern in the floor mosaics of Rome's Baths of Caracalla, worn as a pendant, an earring or a ring.
Piaget Sunlight
The sun as a disc of gold rays, each segment engraved, brushed or polished, around a halo of diamonds.
Sun disc and fan are both radial forms, assembled from segments. Piaget Sunlight divides its disc into rays of gold, each engraved, brushed or polished, around diamonds and a turquoise or malachite centre, a theme that began in Piaget's high jewelry in 2017. Divas' Dream, Bulgari's fan from 2016, opens only halfway, and its segments, inlaid or graded with pink sapphires, quote the mosaic tesserae of the Baths of Caracalla.
