Divas' Dream

A fan, taken from the ginkgo-leaf pattern in the floor mosaics of Rome's Baths of Caracalla, worn as a pendant, an earring or a ring.

Alhambra

A four-leaf clover cut from stone and ringed with a double row of gold beads, repeated along a chain like a string of charms.

Hard stones cut flat and framed in gold carry both. The Alhambra clover, drawn by Van Cleef & Arpels in 1968, was first made in textured yellow gold and later in malachite, mother-of-pearl, onyx and carnelian, each leaf held in a beaded border and repeated along a chain. Bulgari inlays malachite and mother-of-pearl too in Divas' Dream, launched in 2016, but its shape is a fan, and its source the ginkgo pattern of Roman mosaics rather than a lucky clover.
