A peacock feather drawn barb by barb in pavé, its eye marked by a single larger diamond, curling round the finger or falling from a chain.
Divas' Dream
A fan, taken from the ginkgo-leaf pattern in the floor mosaics of Rome's Baths of Caracalla, worn as a pendant, an earring or a ring.
Feather and leaf open the same way here, spreading outward like a fan. Bulgari took the shape of Divas' Dream from the mosaic floors of the Baths of Caracalla in 2016 and fills it with gold, pavé, or inlays of malachite and lapis lazuli, sometimes with pink sapphires shading across like tesserae. Boucheron's Plume de Paon, a motif the house dates to 1860, draws its feather in diamonds, one barb at a time, and fixes the eye with a single larger stone.
