A fan, taken from the ginkgo-leaf pattern in the floor mosaics of Rome's Baths of Caracalla, worn as a pendant, an earring or a ring.
Grain de Café
The coffee bean, full and grooved down its middle, cast in gold and gathered into clusters.
Seed and leaf, both taken from plants and turned into units that repeat. Grain de Café, Jeanne Toussaint's coffee bean of 1938, is round and grooved, cast in gold and clustered, and since 2023 two-toned and edged with diamonds. Bulgari's Divas' Dream, from 2016, flattens a ginkgo leaf into a fan, as it appears on the mosaic floors of the Baths of Caracalla, and fills it with pavé or with stones such as malachite.
