Margherita

A daisy, margherita in Italian, set in diamonds and named for the queen whose name it shares.

Fleurette

Van Cleef & Arpels

Fleurette

Seven round diamonds gathered into one small stylised flower, a corolla of stones with almost no metal showing.

In the 1920s Enrico Grassi Damiani designed a daisy for Margherita of Savoy, and in the same decade Van Cleef & Arpels began setting the corollas of precious stones that would later become Fleurette. Today each is a white flower of diamonds, Margherita in white gold, Fleurette in white or rose gold with seven round stones and hardly any metal visible. A royal name rides on the Valenza daisy. The Paris corolla is anonymous, almost a pure cluster of stones.
