Boule

The ball as the jewel: light gold spheres, smooth or paved edge to edge with stones, swollen into dome rings, drop earrings and cuffs.

Sabbia ring: a rounded dome covered in white and brown diamonds of different sizes, on a rose-gold band, on a pale grey ground.

Diamonds of mixed sizes, cuts and colours (white, brown, black) set unevenly over a domed surface, so the pavé glitters like sand under sun or moonlight.

Both domes are paved, both in rose gold, yet the stones behave differently. On Boule the diamonds sit close and even, edge to edge, so the sphere reads as one smooth swelling of light; de Grisogono matched them with plain polished balls on the same chains and cuffs. Sabbia breaks the surface on purpose. Pomellato hand-sets white, brown and black diamonds of different sizes at different heights, so the dome glitters like sand, and since 2020 it has set the same uneven field with emeralds.
