Jeux de Rubans

Ribbons of pavé white gold or plain pink gold loop and cross behind a single Akoya pearl, as if a present had just been tied.

Mikimoto's Jeux de Rubans has a pearl to frame: a single round Akoya, with ribbons of pavé white gold or plain pink gold looping and crossing behind it as if tying a present. FRED's Chance Infinie has nothing at its centre but its own crossing, the figure eight the house drew in 2016 to mark eighty years since Fred Samuel opened his doors, laid on its side to become infinity. The ribbons wrap an object. The eight is the object.
