Fine 18k gold wire wound into tight springy coils, gathered into strands that flex and drape against the wrist and throat like fabric.

Piaget

Extremely Piaget

Gold chased and engraved until it reads like silk or bark, revived from the house's 1970s cuffs and sautoirs and lit with turquoise, opal and diamonds.

Fabric imitated in gold connects them. Extremely Piaget, shown in Paris in 2014, brought back the Palace decor of the house's 1970s, gold chased and engraved until it looks like silk or bark, on cuffs and long sautoirs set with turquoise and opal. Marrakech arrives at cloth through structure rather than surface: thin yellow wire coiled into springs by hand, then massed into strands that drape, a technique from the Bicego family workshop.
