Fine 18k gold wire wound into tight springy coils, gathered into strands that flex and drape against the wrist and throat like fabric.

Elsa Peretti Bone Cuff

A cuff modelled on the bones of the wrist, its edges rolled and its surface dipped, so the metal reads as anatomy rather than ornament.

Cast metal shaped to the body's frame meets wound wire that follows the body's movement. Elsa Peretti's Bone Cuff, drawn in 1970 after the Capuchin Crypt in Rome and Gaudí's Barcelona, is cast in silver or gold, rolled at the edges and made for a specific wrist, left or right. Marrakech bends wherever it is put: fine yellow gold coiled by hand into springs, the chain-maker's craft Marco Bicego inherited from his father.
