Piaget

Extremely Piaget

Gold chased and engraved until it reads like silk or bark, revived from the house's 1970s cuffs and sautoirs and lit with turquoise, opal and diamonds.

Perlée

Van Cleef & Arpels

Perlée

The house's oldest ornament, the polished gold bead, made into the whole jewel: bangles, rings and hoops lined with rows of tiny golden spheres.

Carnelian and malachite sit between the polished beads of Perlée couleurs; Extremely Piaget set turquoise, lapis and opal against gold chased to look like bark or silk, a 2014 revival of the house's 1970s. The Paris line is orderly and small in scale, beads in rows round a ring. The Geneva collection was exuberant, a decade of cuffs, sautoirs and opal-dial watches restaged for a Biennale.
