B.zero1

A spiral band that climbs the finger like the tiers of the Colosseum, held between two rims engraved BVLGARI BVLGARI.

Perlée

Van Cleef & Arpels

Perlée

The house's oldest ornament, the polished gold bead, made into the whole jewel: bangles, rings and hoops lined with rows of tiny golden spheres.

Perlée repeats a sphere, B.zero1 a tier. Van Cleef & Arpels' gold beads go back to the house's work of the 1920s and border every Alhambra clover from 1968; in 2008 they became a line of rings, hoops and bangles, polished all round. Bulgari's 1999 spiral climbs the finger in up to five turns between rims bearing the house name. Perlée's ornament is old and quiet; B.zero1 arrived in a decade of minimalism and made the logo part of the profile.
