Divas' Dream

A fan, taken from the ginkgo-leaf pattern in the floor mosaics of Rome's Baths of Caracalla, worn as a pendant, an earring or a ring.

Both arrived in 2016, and both took a plant through a second culture before it reached the jewel. Bulgari found its fan in the floor mosaics of Rome's Baths of Caracalla, where the shape began as a ginkgo leaf, and makes Divas' Dream in plain gold, pavé or inlays of malachite and mother-of-pearl. Boodles credits the Japanese sakura, and the long echo it left in British design, for Blossom: small cherry flowers with diamonds set like morning dew.
