Macri

Buccellati

Macri

Yellow and white gold engraved with thousands of hair-fine parallel rigato lines that catch light like silk moiré, starred with diamonds set in tiny rosettes.

Marrakech

Marco Bicego

Marrakech

Fine 18k gold wire wound into tight springy coils, gathered into strands that flex and drape against the wrist and throat like fabric.

Gianmaria Buccellati named Macri for his daughter, Ma-Cri being Maria Cristina, and Marrakech carries a family story too: the coil came to Marco Bicego from his father Giuseppe's chain workshop, opened in Trissino in 1958. The inheritances differ in kind. Macri is engraved, its gold scored with hair-fine rigato lines and starred with diamonds. Marrakech is wound, thin yellow wire coiled into strands that bend and fall like cloth.
