Macri

Yellow and white gold engraved with thousands of hair-fine parallel rigato lines that catch light like silk moiré, starred with diamonds set in tiny rosettes.

Elsa Peretti Bone Cuff

A cuff modelled on the bones of the wrist, its edges rolled and its surface dipped, so the metal reads as anatomy rather than ornament.

Engraving does everything on Macri and nothing on the Bone Cuff. Gianmaria Buccellati covered yellow and white gold with thousands of hair-fine parallel lines cut by hand, the house's rigato, so the metal shimmers like moiré, and starred it with small diamonds. Elsa Peretti left her 1970 cuff smooth and let its rolled edges and dipped surface, modelled on the bones of the wrist, carry the idea alone. Macri rewards the closest look; the cuff reads from across a room.
