Calla

One smooth cone, furled like a calla lily, hung alone on a necklace whose clasp disappears.

Flat and open, the fan of Divas' Dream comes from a Roman floor: Bulgari found the ginkgo-leaf pattern in the mosaics of the Baths of Caracalla and, from 2016, filled it with gold, pavé, malachite or graded pink sapphires. Vhernier's Calla closes instead of opening. Its single cone furls round itself like the lily's spathe and hangs alone, in polished rose or white gold or in ebony, with gem-set versions added for its twentieth year in 2018.
