Little discs of gold, each with a stone at its centre, massed in rows and rings like the head of a buttercup.
Repetition builds Bouton d'or. When Van Cleef & Arpels revived its 1936 motif in 2016, it massed little gold discs, each with a stone at its middle, into buttercup heads, in yellow, rose or white gold with onyx, carnelian or diamonds. Fiorever, two years younger, is a single four-petal bloom around a brilliant-cut diamond, the composition Bulgari has kept as its signature ever since.
