Etincelle de Cartier

A band about a millimetre and a half wide, paved with small diamonds and carrying a larger stone in the same line, so the ring reads as one spark.

Mellerio Cut

A diamond cut of the house's own, a softened oval that carries the memory of the Beau Sancy, worn alone inside a fine halo of pavé.

Proportion is Cartier's signature here, and the cut is Mellerio's. Etincelle de Cartier, the slimmest of the house's bridal rings, carries a princess, pear, emerald or brilliant-cut stone in the same row as its pavé band, so the ring reads as a spark. The Mellerio Cut changes the stone itself, a softened oval within an ellipse that the house links to the Beau Sancy, worn alone inside a fine halo. Cartier draws a line of light, and Mellerio draws an outline.
