Mellerio Cut

A diamond cut of the house's own, a softened oval that carries the memory of the Beau Sancy, worn alone inside a fine halo of pavé.

Mellerio gives the diamond itself a new outline, a softened oval within an ellipse that the house links to the Beau Sancy. Jean Dinh Van, in 1971, left the stone round and gave it a square frame instead, an open gold cube where circle meets square. Shape is imposed on the gem in one case and on the gold in the other. Le Cube Diamant starts at €990 and the Mellerio Cut at €10,700, a small everyday sign set against a solitaire in its own halo.
