The quatrefoil and the flower

Hortensia or Mimosa

Chaumet · Damiani

Hortensia

Chaumet

Hortensia

Hydrangea florets gathered into pompoms, garlands and posies, the flower repeated in gold petals, pink opal and pavé.

Mimosa

Damiani

Mimosa

The mimosa, a shrub that flowers whatever the weather, made into a diamond flower and dedicated to women.

Mimosa blooms in any weather, which is why Damiano Grassi Damiani chose it for his wife Gabriella and daughter Silvia before opening the dedication to all women. His diamond flowers in white gold keep to that single, sturdy shape. Hortensia, Chaumet's hydrangea from 2013, is softer and more plural: florets heaped into pompoms and garlands, tinted with pink opal and coral in homage to Joséphine's Malmaison. A family keepsake and an empress's garden, both told in petals.
