Mimosa

The mimosa, a shrub that flowers whatever the weather, made into a diamond flower and dedicated to women.

Neither motif is a garden rose. Cartier's is a coffee bean, drawn by Jeanne Toussaint in 1938, rounded and split by a groove, and worn in clusters by Grace Kelly's generation before the Grain de Café return of 2023. Damiani's is mimosa, the tough shrub that blooms in any weather, which Damiano Grassi Damiani made into a diamond flower for his wife and daughter and then dedicated to all women.
