Les Pétales Place Vendôme

Cupped rose petals of pavé diamonds drift against a round pearl, as if blown across the Place Vendôme.

Petals in motion, petals at rest. Mikimoto's Les Pétales Place Vendôme sends cupped rose petals of pavé diamonds drifting against a round Akoya or South Sea pearl, as if the wind had carried them across the Paris square. Chaumet, which has its own address on that square, holds its hydrangea florets still in Hortensia, bunched since 2013 into pompoms of pink opal and gold. The Tokyo house borrows the place; the Paris house borrows Joséphine's Malmaison.
