Piaget Rose

A rose in layered gold petals, modelled on the 80-petal rose named after Yves Piaget, with a diamond at its heart.

Two botanical tributes, made a year apart. In 2012 Piaget turned the rose named for Yves Piaget, an 80-petal Meilland bloom that won in Geneva in 1982, into Piaget Rose, layered petals of rose gold around a diamond. In 2013 Chaumet chose the hydrangea for Hortensia, a nod to Joséphine and her Malmaison garden. Piaget keeps to one deep, folded flower around a single stone, and Chaumet breaks its hydrangea into many small florets for opal, coral and pavé to colour.
