Eight matched stones ring a single round brilliant like petals around a seed head, laid out with a compass for strict symmetry.

Piaget Rose

A rose in layered gold petals, modelled on the 80-petal rose named after Yves Piaget, with a diamond at its heart.

Piaget Rose has a named ancestor, the 80-petal Meilland rose that won in Geneva in 1982 and took Yves Piaget's name; since 2012 the house has sculpted it in layered rose gold around a diamond. Harry Winston's Sunflower has no garden behind it, only a compass: eight matched stones around a round brilliant, a motif dated to 1950 and made in platinum. The rose is modelled in gold, and the Sunflower's petals are stones, counted and placed.
