Sculpted Cable

The cable's round twist pressed into low relief, so the helix becomes a row of polished gold waves laid side by side.

Extremely Piaget

Gold chased and engraved until it reads like silk or bark, revived from the house's 1970s cuffs and sautoirs and lit with turquoise, opal and diamonds.

Texture is the subject, in two dialects. David Yurman's Sculpted Cable, from 2023, shapes gold into a row of broad, polished waves, the house's 1982 helix brought down into relief. Extremely Piaget, shown in 2014, worked gold the other way, chasing and engraving it until the surface read like silk or bark, in homage to Piaget's 1970s. Yurman's light runs along smooth ridges; Piaget's catches in fine chased lines and around opal, turquoise and lapis.
