The quatrefoil and the flower

Lily Cluster or Fleurette

Lily Cluster

Harry Winston

Lily Cluster

Interlacing petals of small pavé-set round diamonds, accented with a single marquise, form a lily caught mid-bloom.

Fleurette

Van Cleef & Arpels

Fleurette

Seven round diamonds gathered into one small stylised flower, a corolla of stones with almost no metal showing.

Daily, white and fine, these two flowers part ways in their outline. Fleurette uses seven round diamonds, gathered so tightly that the corolla seems to have almost no setting, and recent Van Cleef & Arpels pieces resize it up and down. Lily Cluster, Harry Winston's line from 2010, spreads many smaller round diamonds across curling petals and adds one marquise for a pointed accent. Fleurette is a rosette seen face on; the lily has a profile.
