Eight matched stones ring a single round brilliant like petals around a seed head, laid out with a compass for strict symmetry.

Le Petit Cactus

The flower of the vanilla cactus, which opens for one night a year, made as a small burst of rose gold stamens around a single stone.

Scattered or centred: Mellerio strews the 2019 blossoms of Le Petit Cactus, bursts of rose-gold stamens around one stone, along fine chains, studs and rings, after the vanilla cactus that flowers one night a year. Harry Winston's 1950 motif is a fixed rosette, one round brilliant and eight matched stones in compass-drawn proportions, all in platinum. The cactus flower descends from a botanical painting by Redouté for Marie-Antoinette; the Sunflower descends from a New York studio's geometry.
