Sunflower

Harry Winston

Sunflower

Eight matched stones ring a single round brilliant like petals around a seed head, laid out with a compass for strict symmetry.

Calla

Vhernier

Calla

One smooth cone, furled like a calla lily, hung alone on a necklace whose clasp disappears.

Seen from the front, the Sunflower is a circle: eight matched stones around a round brilliant, laid out with a compass by Harry Winston's designers in 1950 and made in platinum. Calla reads in profile, a cone furled like a lily and hung alone on a chain, its clasp concealed. Vhernier made it in 1998 in polished gold, later also in ebony, and added stones only for its twentieth year.
