The sun as a disc of gold rays, each segment engraved, brushed or polished, around a halo of diamonds.
Breeze-blown petals circle a pearl in Les Pétales Place Vendôme, as if lifted over the Paris square, and in Japan the same idea has a Ginza counterpart. Piaget Sunlight holds still and shines outward: a disc of segmented gold, each ray finished differently, around a diamond halo and a centre of turquoise, malachite or mother-of-pearl. The pearl at Mikimoto's centre and the turquoise or malachite at Piaget's mark the difference between lustre and colour.
