Piaget Sunlight splits the sun into segments of gold, engraved, brushed or polished, around a diamond halo, a motif that began with the Sunlight Journey high jewelry of 2017. Van Cleef & Arpels' Bouton d'or, revived in 2016, gathers polished yellow-gold discs with stones at their centres into the head of a buttercup. Piaget varies the texture within one form, and Van Cleef & Arpels repeats one form many times.
