The gold band

Perlée or Abbraccio

Perlée

Van Cleef & Arpels

Perlée

The house's oldest ornament, the polished gold bead, made into the whole jewel: bangles, rings and hoops lined with rows of tiny golden spheres.

Abbraccio

Vhernier

Abbraccio

A ring named for an embrace, one of the first shapes Vhernier made, offered in plain gold or entirely paved with diamonds held by two prongs each.

Rows of polished gold spheres line Perlée bangles and rings, the beaded edging Van Cleef & Arpels used from the 1920s and made into a line of its own in 2008, later with carnelian or malachite between the beads. The paved version of Abbraccio, one of Vhernier's first rings, swaps beads for diamonds, 572 of them in two-prong settings the house guarantees for life; the plain version is rose or white gold alone.
