A supple gold cable closed by a faceted clasp shaped like an audio jack, wrapped once or three times round the wrist or opened out as a necklace or belt.

Clash de Cartier

Spikes, beads and square studs set in a moving mesh, a house of polish playing with a punk vocabulary.

In 2019 two of the oldest houses in Paris reached outside jewelry for a new vocabulary. Cartier went to punk for Clash, studding gold with spikes, beads and clous de Paris that move against one another. Boucheron, under Claire Choisne, went to sound equipment for Jack, a supple gold cable closed by a faceted plug borrowed from an audio jack. Cartier was founded in 1847 and Boucheron in 1858, so behind each borrowed object stands more than a century and a half of polished gold.
