The Buccellati emblem, a four-petalled rosette of winding lines, cut out and worn as the jewel itself: in engraved gold, in diamond pavé, or laid over a pierced tulle lattice.

Each house here turns a motif from its own archive into the whole jewel. Buccellati's emblem, a four-petalled rosette of winding lines descended from Renaissance and Baroque ornament, became a line of its own only in July 2015, when Opera was shown in Paris in engraved gold, pavé and coloured stones. The Plume de Paon is far older, dated by Boucheron to 1860 and credited to Frédéric Boucheron and Paul Legrand, its peacock barbs now drawn in pavé around a larger diamond eye.
