Lunaria

Flat, rounded petals modelled on the papery, moon-like seed pods of the honesty plant, in gold, diamond pavé or thin slices of mother-of-pearl and coloured stone.

Weightless things in nature, a feather and a seed pod, become solid jewels here. Boucheron has drawn the peacock's plume in pavé for its Plume de Paon since 1860, the date the house gives the motif, marking the eye with one larger diamond. Marco Bicego's Lunaria takes the honesty plant's papery discs and lays them flat in yellow gold, in diamond pavé or in thin slices of mother-of-pearl, aquamarine and jade, keeping their round, moon-like outline.
