Sunflower
Sunflower
Eight matched stones ring a single round brilliant like petals around a seed head, laid out with a compass for strict symmetry.
A compass fixed the proportions of the Sunflower in Harry Winston's New York studio in 1950: one round brilliant, eight matched stones around it, mostly diamonds in platinum. Lunaria keeps closer to the outline of a plant. Marco Bicego's petals follow the honesty's seed discs in flat yellow gold, pavé or mother-of-pearl, and by 2016 the line already ran from aquamarine necklaces to a diamond ring.
