Quatre

Four bands, each carrying one archive motif (grosgrain ribbing, a line of diamonds, Clou de Paris facets, a double gadroon) pressed together into a single ring.

Piaget

Extremely Piaget

Gold chased and engraved until it reads like silk or bark, revived from the house's 1970s cuffs and sautoirs and lit with turquoise, opal and diamonds.

Boucheron quotes its archive in Quatre; Piaget restaged a whole decade for Extremely Piaget. The 2004 ring assembles four motifs into four bands, each legible on its own. The 2014 collection, shown in Paris, brought back Piaget's 1970s, with chased cuffs, Palace-decor gold ribbons and turquoise and lapis beads. Boucheron condensed and Piaget expanded. The fine line that followed the Piaget show has since been withdrawn, while Quatre continues, now joined by a slimmer XS.
