Buccellati

Opera

The Buccellati emblem, a four-petalled rosette of winding lines, cut out and worn as the jewel itself: in engraved gold, in diamond pavé, or laid over a pierced tulle lattice.

Lunaria

Marco Bicego

Lunaria

Flat, rounded petals modelled on the papery, moon-like seed pods of the honesty plant, in gold, diamond pavé or thin slices of mother-of-pearl and coloured stone.

The archive supplied Opera; a field plant supplied Lunaria. Buccellati took its emblem, a four-petalled rosette of winding lines, and made it the jewel in 2015, chased by engravers, paved, or laid over the pierced tulle the house has made since the 1920s. Marco Bicego modelled the flat, rounded petals of Lunaria on the moon-pale seed pods of the honesty plant, and makes them in gold, pavé or slices of mother-of-pearl and jade.
