Clash de Cartier

Spikes, beads and square studs set in a moving mesh, a house of polish playing with a punk vocabulary.

Clash de Cartier, shown in Paris over three days in April 2019, borrows from punk: spikes, beads and square clous de Paris set so that they move against one another, a polished house roughing up its own heritage. B.zero1 borrows from ancient Rome. Bulgari launched it in 1999 as a smooth spiral band climbing the finger like the Colosseum's tiers between two rims engraved with the house name, and in 2017 Zaha Hadid reshaped the spiral into waves.
